Haddon Products Company of Chicago, Illinois made many theme designed animated clocks with interior illumination. The cases were moulded of a plastic material and featured self-starting electrick clock movements made by the Hanson Company.

Many Haddon and other illuminated clocks became damaged and were discarded when the moulded plastic case became soft and distorted due to heat from an excessively large wattage light bulb replacement. No more than a six-watt bulb should be used.
